Ventilation Testing

Ventilation testing under Building Regulations Part F ensures that buildings have adequate ventilation to maintain indoor air quality. This is particularly important as buildings become more airtight for energy efficiency, which can compromise airflow and lead to increased levels of pollutants.

We use powered flow meters to test and commission all types of domestic ventilation systems, including:

  • Intermittent Extract Fans and Background Ventilators
  • Passive Stack Ventilation (PSV)
  • Continuous Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV)
  • Continuous Balanced Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR)

The results of the ventilation test are compared against the requirements outlined in Approved Document F. The certificate is then produced to confirm compliance, which can be submitted to building control.
